Sensitive Plant (Botanical name: Mimosa pudica)
An unusual indoor houseplant that can move and will fold its leaves at night and when touched. Also known by the names sleepy plant, touch-me-not or shy plant

GROW
Pre-soak your seeds in lukewarm water for 30 minutes or longer. Sow several seeds and lightly cover with compost. Water gently and cover with a propagator lid or clear plastic bag. Remove the cover when seedlings start to appear. Seeds should be sown and kept in pots indoors. Ensure the soil is moist, well drained and preferably in full sun. In certain conditions the plant may produce pink, pom pom shaped flowers. More details can be seen in the 'how to sow' Instagram Story highlight saved here
USE
This unusual houseplant can move and will fold its leaves at night and when touched. It is particularly fun for children to interact with and has been used in scientific experiments to demonstrate  how plants use electrical signals to convey information, prompt movement and even count. Do not consume as this is a non edible plant.
